Andy Lewis - Wine Selection and Retailing

Andy has spent the past twenty-two years being involved in Wine, Spirits and Beers retailing and wholesaling.  Andy acts as a consultant to the Wine trade in general, using his skill and knowledge to formulate market entry strategies for wine producers, and as a buying and wine sourcing expert to UK based distributors.  Andy’s broad wine knowledge has stemmed from working with both the traditional On-Trade when working in Cash & Carry environments, through to wine and spirit category management for a 500 outlet convenience store group.  Additionally he has spent eight months working with a major UK bottler, being responsible for bulk wine blending and purchasing. 

A fully accredited Wine Educator for the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, Andy holds the highest UK Trade qualification - the Diploma of the WSET and has completed the first year of study for the Masters of Wine. Andy was responsible for educating some 200 independent retailers, whilst managing the Spar Wine Club.
