Colin’s retail career spans over 25years, with J. Sainsbury and Co-Operatives. Rising rapidly through Operational Management including new store developments into a variety of Head Office responsibilities including Specialist Training, Merchandising, Category Management, Buying and Marketing.  As a qualified trainer he has the ability to be able to communicate at all levels and feels equally at home on the shop floor finding practical solutions as he does presenting trading strategies at Board level.

In his role as Head of Category Planning, Colin introduced computerised planogram systems across all categories and stores types within a two year target.  He also planned new store design and layouts and played a major role in repositioning and refurbishment programs.  In the commercial arena as key negotiator, Colin has managed many product categories.  His broad experience and expertise offers the flexibility of full project management, including a full and rounded knowledge of retailing with modern processes and systems.
