Claire Coldwell - Human Resources

Claire has twenty-five years retailing experience, initially in operations with Debenham's and Habitat and more recently as a human resources specialist with WHSmith. Claire’s experience at the "sharp end" ensures that she retains a pragmatic approach, balancing commercial pressures with the needs of the individual.

Claire has considerable experience in recruiting and developing people at all levels - from warehouse operators and graduate trainees to board-level appointments. Her particular focus is on understanding an individual’s motivations and values (as well as skills and experience) and how these fit within the culture of the company. She also has extensive experience in supporting change management programmes.

Claire holds a degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Careers Guidance and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
