Jon Daly - Equipment Design

Jon is a pragmatic development project manager. A thirty year career with two of the UK’s leading retailers, Safeway and Tesco, has given him a wealth of experience in format development, and both interior and operational design, particularly at the leading edge of technology.

His broad knowledge of formats, equipment and systems, combined with European consultancy experience is an asset to Retail Innovations’s team. In the Store Planning department of Tesco he led project teams to develop many successful superstores. As a Design Controller, Jon directed Tesco’s development efforts focused on innovative technology applications, and new business initiatives such as forecourt retailing.

At Safeway Jon continued taking responsibility for one of the most important areas of the business - the front end. He managed the roll-out of the UK’s most successful self-scanning programme, and the largest roll-out of Electronic Shelf Edge Labels.
