Tim Hinde - Retail Operations and Distribution
Tim has a long and varied
retail career, in operations, general management,
warehousing and distribution logistics. Starting his career at Tesco in retail
operations, he was soon headhunted for a commercial management position at a leading Bahraini retail group.
Tim has extensive knowledge and experience of the Middle East retail market and has proven executive level management, administration and planning skills. He was Operations Director for Metro Markets, in Egypt, where he was responsible for the building, opening and operating of the company’s stores. During his time with Metro he established central distribution introducing new concepts throughout the business to drive sales and successfully opened 14 stores. Tim is based in the Middle East, having established his own management consultancy in Cairo. He is an active member of the local business community and contributes regularly to middle eastern business publications.
